What Scares Me
If somebody were to ask me what scares me the most, I think I’d say the thought that maybe, ultimately, there is no meaning to life, that we’re just sophisticated DNA molecules with no purpose whatsoever other than to replicate ourselves. The knowledge that when death finally claims us, there is no recourse. No escape. The thought that — No, wait. I’ve changed my mind. The giant flesh-eating weasels. With the enormous poison fangs. Man, they freak me out.
