Tiberius’ Explanation
Friends often come up to me and say ‘Hey, Tiberius (these are the friends who think my name is Tiberius… should have mentioned that earlier), if they can put a man on the moon why can’t they invent some kind of mass teleportation device that would enable anybody to instantaneously travel to any other point in the universe?’ I usually explain to these friends that it is because the latter is hundreds of thousands of times more difficult than the former. They invariably agree that this is a fine explanation.
