I think that the success of Kentucky Fried Chicken can be directly attributed to the prestige of Colonel Sanders. If he had been a lower ranking officer, say Major Sanders, then I don’t think his chicken would have sold in such vast quantities. No matter how many secret herbs and spices it contained. Another masterstroke was not dousing the chicken pieces in petrol.
