Faux Pas
I hate when you're at a party, deep in a conversation with somebody you've just met, and you drop in the phrase 'there are more (somethings) here than you can poke a stick at' (eg miniature porcelain Pol Pots), only to discover you're talking to Four Time Freestyle Stick-Poking World Champion Bryce Buford. Because that guy will make you look the fool.
