Here's an idea for a new religion that I've invented. It's similar to Buddhism in that people are reincarnated but (and here's the twist) the souls are reincarnated in the past! So the physical bodies move forward through time, but the souls move backwards - when you die, your soul is reincarnated in a person in the past. This has two exciting advantages. Firstly, it is highly confusing. Secondly, because there are fewer people in the past than in the present, some of today's souls will have to be eliminated, much like a very exciting reality TV show and this can continue all the way into the past until only two souls are left and then, eventually, only one... And the winning soul gets to be God!! Top that, Big Brother! Of course, this means that somebody in the world today was/will be God... but who? My money is on Pat Benatar for reasons I don't have the time or emotional stability to go into here.
