On Enemies
'Keep your friends close and your enemies closer'. Sun Tzu said this. Or perhaps it was Norah Jones. Regardless of the source, it's crazy advice. If you try it the other way around, you'll find it makes much (much!) more sense because that way, when your enemies attack, you can use your friends as a fleshy wall of protection. In fact, if you're a sufficiently popular type, nothing short of a full-scale unleashing of a minor nuclear power's arsenal could penetrate the sheer mass of your Shield'o'Chums. This is an important point, and one often not grasped, although I do think Sun Tzu mentions it in a later chapter, as does Norah on her Feels Like Home album.
