Diligence And Alertness
The man ahead of me at the ATM left behind his receipt. Helpful soul that I am, I grabbed it and raced after him. As I raced, a mysterious force inside of me caused me to examine his balance. A shudder went through my adenoids as I read the number - $6.66 - the bank balance of the Beast. I immediately stopped racing after him and reported him to the Church, who sent out a SWAT team of priests who took the Nefarious One down in a crossfire of crucifixes, holy water and flamethrowers a few hours later. It wasn't until I got home and was about to paste the receipt in my Demon-Hounder's Scrapbook that I realised that the first number wasn't a six at all, but a five! Oops!
