Cockroaches
It is an established fact that cockroaches would survive a nuclear holocaust. Frankly, I'm staggered that it has come to this. I know they're creepy and disgusting and germ-ridden (much like Courtney Cox-Arquette) but I don't see why we ever even contemplated unleashing our atomic arsenal on them. Chill out, generalissimos!! Live and let live. We should save our nukes for a day when we truly need them (eg an attack by space vampires!!). That's just common sense.
