I don’t have a lot of sympathy for Vietnam vets who complain about their hideous ordeal and the trauma and the shunning by the rest of society and such. I mean, what the hell were they doing there in the first place?! I love animals as much as the next guy (not cats, obviously) and I understand they need to be cared for. But didn’t they notice there was a war going on?!? I think they should have let the animals fend for themselves until the war was over and then send the vets in afterwards. Who knows - maybe the animals would have developed a rudimentary medicine of their own. If so, they could have finally stopped sponging off our generosity in this area. Perhaps we could start another war to test this theory out. I suggest we invade Chad - because I think it would be funny to attack a country with such a silly name.
