Young MC
Prudent bachelors everywhere heed the canny wisdom proffered by Young MC in his smash hit single Bust A Move for the simple reason that there are countless courting tips in the lyrics for the man about town. One of my favourite of Young's teachings advises an alert and eligible male on how to woo a young lady he might meet while attending the cinema:
"New movie's showin'... so you're goin'
Could care less about the five you're blowin'
Theatre gets dark just to start the show
When you spot a fine woman sittin' in the front row
She's dressed in yellow, she says 'Hello,
Come sit next to me you fine fellow'
You run over there without a second to lose
And what comes next, hey bust a move"
'All well or good, Indy,' some of you may be saying if you haven't quite got the hang of that particular phrase. 'But what if she's not dressed in yellow? How do I pursue my film-loving feminita in that instance?' And to you variable-hue Lothario's I offer the following table:
| Dressed In | She Says | Come Sit Next To Me You Fine... |
| Blue | "Hey, you!" | Half man-half gnu |
| Red | "Yo pinhead" | Quadruped |
| Green | "What's the scene" | User of sunscreen |
| Tan | "My man" | Member of the Taliban |
| Orange | "Orange" | Orange |
Regardless of her fashion chromatics or opening remarks, however, one's ideal next reaction should still be to 'bust a move'. That, after all, is just common sense.
Begone,
