Starship
Those damn fools at Blender magazine recently voted Starship's 1985 smash hit single We Built This City as the worst song of all time. This is not the first time I've seen this masterpiece disparaged. Indeed, some regular readers of this site have expressed similar negativity. To them, and to the troubled editors of Blender magazine, I implore a reconsideration. 'We built this city,' claim Starship. 'On rock and roll'!!! Building entire metropolises using only sound waves as a foundation?!?! The band are clearly called 'Starship' for a reason - obviously they have journeyed here from a distant planet, an alien society far in advance of ours, to overturn our antiquated notions of architecture and structural engineering. And they're doing so via the medium of soft 80s rock. We have much to learn from them, and instead we mock and deride them. Shame on you, humanity. Shame on you.
Begone,
