Stargate: Atlantis (again)
Like squeezing a blind pimple, or trying to fathom the lyrics of Mr Kenny Rogers, sometimes we do things we know are wrong. With such a disclaimer forefront in your collective minds, I can now reveal that once again, I watched Stargate: Atlantis last night.
This week's memorable quote was something along the lines of:
"These energy levels are off the chart!" (said in a suitably incredulous (possibly constipated) tone)
Now, our good friends at the Atlantis stargate are not the only writers guilty of such dialogue. I've often heard incredulous characters claim that energy levels or power readings or Carrie's horsishness quotient or who knows what are 'off the chart'. And every single time, I find myself wondering, y'know, why they don't just extend the axes.
