Ocean's Twelve
There's nothing quite like a good caper movie. For example, electromagnetism is not like a good caper movie and nor is a bucket full of dead fish. I suppose that a cleverly written TV show about a caper might be a little bit like a good caper movie, but on the other hand, you wouldn't be in the cinema and also, no remote. So still some differences. This is my point.
But I digress. My true point is this: when it comes to sophisticated con tricks, you'd be hard pressed to find a better one than that undertaken by Messrs Clooney, Pitt and co in Ocean's Twelve. It's a brazen scheme to swindle an almost incomprehensible quantity of cash, and you walk out of the cinema shaking your head in confused admiration that they pulled it off.
I refer, of course, not to the plot of the film which is the predictable gibbering mess, but rather the fact that George, Brad, Matt and the rest of the gadabouts somehow managed to swindle Warner Bros. into forking out yet another $80 million to finance this cinematic tomfoolery.
George Clooney. Actor, pig owner, con man.
