Fairground Attraction
Ponder this: It's now over a decade since Fairground Attraction strode like a wailing colossus over the charts with their timeless message 'It's got to be-e-e-e-e-eeee- ee-e-eee-eeeeeee perfect...' Ah, how time soars.
Does make one wonder, however, if their standards have slipped a little over that time. Perhaps as the reality of the ageing process have caught up on the Attractions, they've decided to settle. Perhaps, Roller-Coaster (the lead guitarist) decided that 'not totally repulsive' was an acceptable substitute for the much bally-hooed perfection. Perhaps, Carousel (the drummer) eventually thought 'cute smile, lovely personality, so what if her butt is huge'. Perhaps now it is only lead singer Hall Of Mirrors who continues to hold out for 100% flawlessness. And hands up who thinks that she'll be sitting at home with just her cats for company for the next forty years?
Yeah, me too. Still, cling to your standards, Hall Of Mirrors. Cling to your standards.
Begone,
