Dr Hook
There aren't many songs about puppeteers. And there are even fewer about puppeteers who construct puppets out of leftover items of clothing they may have stored in the back of their closets. Why such an inventive and thrifty artform is so rarely celebrated in the form of popular music, I could not tell you. But it surely does make me ever so grateful for Dr Hook and their 1982 smash hit single and exception to the rule, Baby Makes Her Blue Jeans Talk.
