Don McLean
If you look closely at the end credits of the film American Pie, you'll notice that Mr Don McLean owns the trademark to that name. This is despite the fact that his song wasn't considered good enough to make the soundtrack to the film! For shame, Don. I say, if you want to crack the big time, man, then less singing about levees and chevies and James Dean's coat. More singing about losing one's virginity to baked goods, seducing large-breasted foreign exchange students and sticking musical instruments into orifices they don't belong.
