Cake
I think what I like most about Cake's smash hit single Short Skirt, Long Jacket is that those wacky Cakesters have eschewed normal creative paths and saved critical recording time by simply taking a personal page from an online dating site and using that for lyrics.
Kudos, Cake, for your innovation and willingness to champion in song form the ramblings of the world wide web. I'm looking forward to your next single, which I assume will be a toe-tapping musical version of either:
- the Amazon.com editorial review of Kangaroo Jack
- an eBay description of some poor sod auctioning off his Ghost Rider comic collection, or
- unorthodox and lewd slash fiction featuring Alyson Hannigan, Special Agent Mulder and an insatiable Chewbacca.
