Channel Ten Blooper Show
I was accidentally watching Channel Ten's Blooper Show (Aren't We A Bunch of Dickheads Here At Ten?) last night and I am absolutely certain that I heard Penny Cook (the host) say 'Julian Clary is the funniest thing since sliced bread.'
Now, unless, this was some kind of meta-blooper, I'm not really sure what to make of this. Was sliced bread once considered amusing? Did people just look at the loaf and its pre-slicedness and just go 'Hey, look at that' and chuckle uproariously? Was it considered the height of wit to open a loaf of bread and have it already sliced?
Or is Penny Cook simply colossally insane?
