BJ and the Bear

Why not introduce a new generation to B.J. and the Bear, the ground-breaking series about a man who lived in a semi-trailer with his pet monkey, inexplicably named 'Bear'. The highlight of this show came early each week, in the second verse of the theme song when it explained the rationale behind B.J.s lifestyle. "Best of all," the theme song claimed, "I don't pay property tax." Well, it would all be worth it then, wouldn't it? Driving around in a truck which doubled as your home and sharing sleeping arrangements with a wild, sex-starved primate just to avoid paying property tax is such a fiscally sensible option that I'm surprised that America didn't just become a country of chimp-loving truckers. Or perhaps they did. It would certainly explain a lot.

Or, alternatively, raise many more questions than it answered.

Begone,

Indy
