Beach Boys
How fast would you say a chariot in Roman times might have gone, top speed? 25 km/h? 30 km/h?? Compare that to the drivers at the Indianopolis 500 who manage to regularly hit 300 km/h. So, does this mean that when the Beach Boys sing Fun, Fun, Fun and opine that 'She walks, looks and drives like an ace now (she walks like an ace now, she walks like an ace) She makes the Indy 500 look like a Roman chariot race now' that they are claiming that this girl is driving around at 3000 km/hr!?! No wonder her father took her T-bird away. In general, I don't like to side with the olds - I'm as in touch and au fait with the younger generation and their urges to get their groove on as the next mofo hep cat. But driving around at Mach 3?? That's just foolish. Remember, girls. Speed kills.
