Alfie
By now, all but the most malinformed of you will be aware that it is a Mr Jude Law who is tearing up cinemas worldwide with his spirited tour de force as the title character in Alfie. No news there, Indy, thanks for nothing, you might be thinking, if such thought processes are your wont.
But Jude's star turn in Alfie is perhaps a more wine-chilling coincidence than many may have realised. Because do I not distinctly remember that cat-hating, wise-cracking, 3 foot puppet named Alf unleashing a similar thespic triumph as Kate Winslet's body double in the 1996 stonemason thriller Jude? The circle is complete, my friends. The circle is complete.
