102 Dalmations
What in spotted blazes is going on with the film 102 Dalmations? Now, I'm no Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences-Sanctioned Studio Sequel Supervisor and Facilitator. My skills lie in other areas (money-laundering and the backgammon end game, thanks for asking). But I would've thought somebody might have thought through this sequel a little further.
How do we recapture and enhance the passionate audience of the original 101 Dalmations? I know, let's raise the stakes by less than one percent. That will get cinephiles frothing at their collective rabies-free mouth for the non-stop action of the sequel.
No. Not good enough, Disney. Prediction: if there isn't at least 1003 of the little spotted buggers next time around, this franchise is in grave danger of being put to sleep. And once that happens, how much longer until the same fate befalls Glenn Close?
