Search For Funny Side Called Off

Teams of comedians who have been working night and day in a desperate bid to find a funny side to the terrorist attacks on New York City and Washington, DC, have reluctantly called off the search.
"It's very disappointing," said Search Commander Steve Martin. "I remember after Diana was driven into a wall, we had people coming up with funny, tasteless stuff almost straight away. This time even the bad taste jokes are proving elusive. We've expanded our team to include such borderline talents as the Wayans brothers and Kirk Cameron... but... nothing..."
"We had a glimmer of hope early on the first Thursday morning when Carrey thought he had found something. But it just turned out to be him talking out of his butt again."
