Given the singleminded focus of some directors, always looking to give their films some extra credibility and Oscar buzz, wouldn’t it make sense for some enterprising young actor to adopt ‘Oscar Buzz’ as their screen name? If nothing else, it would certainly guarantee them plenty of work with those particular Academy Award-craving auteurs.

Y’know, assuming they were morons.

It is said that, in his heyday, Mel Torme was known as ‘The Velvet Fog’. It’s not a bad nickname for a crooner, as such things go. Certainly I’ve heard a lot worse (right, Love Symbol?) But it did mean he became a lot more difficult to hear and enjoy, what with the incessant blasting of all those velvet foghorns.

Still, better that than have two velvet ships collide right in the middle of him, I suppose.

Oh, sure, there are new episodes of the third season of Heroes this week. Some gibberish about a ‘life-changing, groundbreaking election’. Look, I don’t know.

What I do know is that, on the suggestion of fan-favourite Josh Jackson, this comment thread over on Morgan’s blog is steadfastly filling the gap with a hastily improvised episode.

Scenes so far include:

Zombie Hiro in pursuit of Ando and that African painter dude
Nathan and whoever Ali Larter is playing this week getting stuck in traffic!
Peter killing Claire Bear over and over again in a futile bid to stop her incessant whining
The return of Isaac Mendez!
