Back to where it all began. Weirdly, however, the first season is precisely not where you want to initiate yourself into The Dawson Files. If you've stumbled over here, determined beyond all reason to find out for yourself what all the fuss is about, then I heartily recommend that you start at Season 3. That's where The Dawson Files kicked off. Starting there will make things marginally more comprehensible. And even if it doesn't, it'll make me feel better. And that's important, no?
Of course, once you've bathed in the eponymous creek of Season 3, and perhaps with a quick dip of the toe into Season 4, feel more than completely welcome to come back and reminisce about the first season. See Mr Tosser be more oblivious than any fictional character in televisual history. Watch as Ah Joey's dimples burst forth for the first time. And admire the innocent oafishness of a young boofhead named The Paceman. It's all here, people.
