How do I concentrate on work, and not play? Even though play is more fun?

Dear A Dull Boy,
Simple logic should reveal that you have three options:
- Make work more fun (eg ask your boss to install a roller-coaster!!)
- Make play less fun (having dull friends helps here) or
- Do work for which you don't need to concentrate (why not take a job on an alleged 'comedy' web site answering trivial and inane questions from unmotivated slackers?)
