There’s not much to like about Project Runway Australia. For the most part, it’s just a slavish rip-off of the US version mindlessly echoing the same catchphrases the original made famous. (Although, scandalously, eliminated designers aren’t farewelled with a hearty ‘Auf Wiedersehen’. Madness! I don’t care from what country your hostess hails – an ‘Auf Wiedersehen’ is now the de rigeuer dismissal phrase. Why keep everything else and drop that??!?)

However, one thing I do like about listening to the Aussie twang faithfully touching on all the original catch phrases is that it makes me wonder if other countries are also so devoted in their emulation. And, if so, where can I get a copy of the Canadian pseudo-Klum earnestly warning her designers that one day they will be in and the next, they will be ‘oot’.
