The Killers
One of the things people like the most about The Killers’ track All These Things I’ve Done is the catchy refrain ‘I’ve got soul, but I’m not a soldier’ which is echoed back and forth. These lyrics add poignance and a certain level of sophistication to the song. Certainly much more than the original lyrics ‘I’ve got lice, but I’m not a licensed vendor of new and used motor vehicles in the state of Idaho’. A triumph for second drafts.
