Kill Bill

Perhaps the most compelling evidence that Tarantino has lost none of his precocious genius resides in the title of his latest cinematic offering. Kill Bill. Brilliant!! I predict that rhyming titles will now sweep through Hollywood like some kind of verbal plague, much as pseudo-witty tangential dialogue as a counterpoint to the brutal violence of the characters swept through following Pulp Fiction and people cutting one another’s ears off while dancing followed in the wake of Reservoir Dogs. Within a year, no films will be released unless the two words in their title form a Seuss-esque piece of verse. We witness the dawn of a new era, people.

And how long do you think it will be before that pitiful showpony James Cameron attempts to leap headfirst into the bandwagon with, say, a by-the-numbers remake of The Poseidon Adventure, retitled Flip Ship?
