Cheers
Sat down to watch TV the other night with one of the other inmates (a paranoid schizophrenic named Axl) when the familiar opening sounds of Cheers began. Before I could react, the nurse flicked the television off. But it was too late, Axl immediately overpowered security and fled into the night.
Sure enough, two days later, George ‘Norm’ Wendt was found brutally slaughtered, throat torn apart by his own false teeth. Axl was captured by an off-duty grave robber and returned to the asylum. In some ways it’s sad; that’s three ex-Cheers cast members that have now been violently butchered – George ‘Norm’ Wendt, Bebe ‘Lilith’ Neuwirth and Roger ‘Robin Colcord’ Rees. On the other hand, how do people expect the insanely paranoid to react when confronted with the notion of a bar where ‘everybody knows their name’?
Exactly my point.
